Nauticam NA-EM1X Housing for Olympus OM-D E-M1X Camera
INTRODUCING NA-EM1X
THE OLYMPUS OM-D E-M1X CAMERA
The OM-D line from Olympus has been at the forefront of the MFT mirrorless camera movement and the E-M1X is their long-anticipated first pro-level offering. The E-M1X builds on the popular OM-D platform, adding improved autofocus, higher sequential shooting speed and dual battery slots.
For the discerning underwater image maker, the E-M1X ushers in a new level for the MFT platform. While topside shooters can quickly change batteries, at 20m capturing fast underwater action that may prove difficult. The electronic viewfinder, while providing that critical instant feedback also draws a fair amount of valuable battery power. With the dual battery capacity, the E-M1X means pushing those battery worries to the back of your mind allowing you to focus on nailing the shot.
The OM-D line has set the standard for stabilization and the E-M1X takes it step further with up to a tripod-like 7.5 stops when using supported lenses. This stabilization, combined with the improved Dual F.A.S.T autofocus that provides 121 cross-type Contrast and Phase-Detection focus points makes producing tack-sharp underwater images even in sub-par lighting conditions that much easier.
The blazing-fast sensor readout allows for an incredible 60fps sequential shooting when using electronic shutter or 15fps with mechanical. For those shooting fast action with natural or continuous light source, this means never missing that split-second award winner.
The E-M1X offers 4:2:2 4K output over HDMI and features Olympus' OM-Log mode, maximizing the dynamic range of the footage.

THE NAUTICAM NA-EM1X UNDERWATER HOUSING
The NA-EM1X brings Nauticam's unmatched experience with housing Olympus' mirrorless platform to the next level, allowing the underwater image maker to intuitively harness every aspect of the E-M1X's impressive capabilities and extensive customizability. Whether shooting fast action, landscapes or 4K video the NA-EM1X is the ultimate underwater platform.
Unparalleled Control
The NA-EM1X follows Nauticam's Mission Control design philosophy that brings access to the most-needed controls exactly where you need them to be, within easy reach of the DSLR-housing styled ergonomic handles.
Behind the two-stage trigger is an ISO lever as well as a double lever that targets the Fn1 and Fn2 buttons on the front of the camera. A thumb lever, accessible from the right handle triggers the AE-L/AF-L button commonly used for back-button autofocus.
A double thumb-lever on the left side accesses the INFO and PLAYBACK buttons.
Flash Triggering
The NA-EM1X is compatible with Nauticam's Mini Flash Trigger for Olympus which provides rapid-fire flash triggering via fiber-optic cables attached to the integrated Sea&Sea style optical bulkheads. For TTL, the Olympus FL-LM3 hot-shoe flash can be placed in the housing. The flash can be easily turned on and off using a dedicated switch on the housing.
Premium Professional Optics
Nauticam has long supported the MFT open-source standard optics across a wide range of cameras and housings. The NA-EM1X shares the N85 Port System with other MFT systems like the Olympus OM-D E-M1MKII and the Panasonic GH5. For those moving from another MFT Nauticam housing, this means near-complete cross-support* for lenses and ports with the NA-EM1X.
HDMI 1.4 and 2.0 Video Output
The Olympus E-M1X produces clean 4:2:2 4K M-Log output over HDMI which can be recorded with an external monitor/recorder such as the Atomos Ninja V. The NA-EM1X is equipped with both M24 and M16 bulkheads. The M24 bulkhead supports the HDMI 2.0 connection. An HDMI 1.4 option is also available via the standard HDMI bulkhead when used with the optional M24 to M16 step-down adapter and appropriate connection.
Integrated Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System
The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is shipped with NA-EM1X as standard equipment. Combined with an accessory vacuum valve (PN 25624/5), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.
The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive.

FEATURES
PATENTED PORT LOCKING SYSTEM
Unveiled on the very first Nauticam DSLR housing in 2009, this locking lever has become a signature of the Nauticam brand. No twisting or threading action is required to mount a port, and it locks securely in place with this lever. Nauticam also offers locking port extensions, meaning a dome will never twist, even when used with a long extension ring.
HOUSING LOCKING LATCHES
The industry's easiest to use housing closure system, requiring very little hand strength to operate, secures the housing back in place. The latches are safely locked to prevent accidental opening, but are easy to open when needed for a quick battery or memory card change.
HDMI OUTPUT
The M24 bulkhead supports both the HDMI 2.0 and 1.4 standards for use with external monitors and recorders to take advantage of the clean HDMI output of the E-M1X.
VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM
The NA-EM1X features Nauticam's vacuum check and leak detection system electronics preinstalled. When paired with the M16 or M14 Vacuum Valve II, the system gives a visual indicator of watertightness with the integrated multicolor LED.
